Experience:
Shannon’s first gig out of college was a writing job at a local newspaper in Central Ohio. From there, she moved on to spend the bulk of her career in the non-profit sector where she worked for 15 years in a myriad of roles. Her experiences include everything from running focus groups on college campuses to speaking at large women’s conferences. She came to the Impact Group in 2008 as a writer and editor for Municipal Leader Magazine, our publication dedicated to serving regional leaders.
About Shannon:
I am a self-proclaimed putterer. I like to dabble in this, that, and the other thing. Sometimes that creates a lot of inner turmoil and lost productivity in the off hours! But, on the upside, it gives me a lot to write about on my blog! I fell in love with writing in Mrs. Jamerson’s high school lit class and was thrilled to find blogging as an outlet for my love. I am married to Rick, who has been putting up with my piles and puttering for the last 20 years. We have two kiddos and are pretty involved in our community of Kent. Other random things I love: letterboxing, studying the Bible, good books, photography, and mini-roadtrips to Trader Joe’s.
